CMIG International Honored with ‘S1000 Award’ Set on pursuing quality investments in Singapore, across Southeast Asia

CMIG International Holdings Co., Ltd. (“CMIG International”) has won a S1000 (Singapore 1000 Company) Award, presented recently in Singapore, for its outstanding performance in the financial services field, and its determination to continue to meet the highest corporate governance standards.

Celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, the annual S1000 awards are among Singapore’s most prestigious and well-respected honors, largely because of the objective financial indicators (such as income, net profit, return on equity and overseas income) used to analyze companies’ operations.

The awards are judged by one of the world’s big four accounting firms, Ernst & Young, and five government units – the Singapore Business Federation, the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Singapore Standards, Productivity and Innovation Bureau, the Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, and the Singapore Infocomm Development Authority. The organizer of the S1000 awards, the DP Information Group, is Singapore's leading provider of corporate sector information and intelligence, and one of the world's largest credit counseling agencies.

CMIG International is committed to building a world-class investment group specializing in financial services, insurance and quality international investments. Since its founding more than three years ago, the company’s assets have grown to US$9 billion, four times more than when it was first established. The company has successfully invested in many projects in the US, Canada, Europe, Singapore, South Korea and Hong Kong, and is continuing to build its presence in the global market by expanding its international networks and solidifying its global investment capabilities.

In 2016, CMIG International successfully acquired Sirius International Insurance Group, a highly rated international insurance and reinsurance organization that was established in 1946 and now serves clients in more than 140 countries worldwide.

Although CMIG International is not a listed company, it has always insisted on corporate governance practices that meet the highest standards to become better aligned with international capital markets.

For CMIG International, the prestigious winning of this S1000 award signifies the recognition of the company by many government agencies and authoritative international organizations. Going forward, it will push to meet even higher standards, deepen its roots in Singapore with an eye toward Southeast Asia, and continue to concentrate on finding further solid investment opportunities in the financial services realm.
