On 28 August2014, CMIG and the Government of Ningxia Hui autonomous region signed a strategic cooperation agreement in the city of Yinchuan. Autonomous regional Party Committee Secretary and Director of the Standing Committee Li Jianhua and Autonomous region Chairman Liu Hui attended the signing ceremony. CMIG Chairman met briefly with both Li Jianhua and Liu Hui prior to the signing of the agreement.
Autonomous region Vice-Chairman Wang Heshan presided over the signing ceremony, along with Liu Hui. CMIG President, Li Huaizhen and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Vice-Chairman Wang Heshan signed the agreement on behalf of CMIG and the government of Ningxia Hui autonomous region. CMIG Directors, Sun Yinhuan, Mao Yonghong, Board of Supervisors Vice-Chairman Gao Yangyu and Vice-President Kong Linshan attended the signing ceremony.
Under the agreement, CMIG will within 3-5 years use direct investment, equity investment, industry fund and industry diversified investment methods to attract investment of 100 billion yuan in the following five industries: Ningxia new energy, tourism and aviation logistics, halal red meat and milk industry and wine to promote economic restructuring and industrial advancement in Ningxia.
During the meeting, Li Jianhua and Liu Hui welcomed CMIG to Ningxia for the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement and thanked CMIG for their support of Ningxia's economic and social development. Li Jianhua said in July at Yinchuan city, they had exchanged discussions on CMIG’s participation in the economic development of Ningxia, particularly in new energy industries, modern agriculture, infrastructure construction and Ningxia’s economic and social development. In just more than one month after the negotiation exchange between the two sides and site investigation they achieved fruitful cooperation and progress. This signing of the strategic partnership agreement marks a new stage in cooperation between the two sides, will bring new vitality to Ningxia's economic and social development, promote economic restructuring and industrial advancement to provide strong support in Ningxia.
CMIG is the country's first "National" large private investment firm and Ningxia Hui autonomous region is the first provincial partnership since CMIG was established., “we hope CMIG will provide quality service and a good environment to promote the bilateral strategic cooperation to bear fruitful results.”
He expressed that Ningxia is the frontier fortress’s bright pearl with outstanding people, under the leadership of the autonomous regional party Committee and Government, economic development, social harmony and national unity, has made great progress in all respects. Energy resources in Ningxia Hui autonomous region has a unique advantage, CMIG will give to develop their own advantages, vigorously promoting efforts to ensure agreed projects are completed, for economic evolution to advancement and open construction, prosperous, harmonious, to add strength to beautiful Ningxia.
The principal behind the cooperation on both sides of the agreement is to give full development to their respective advantages, integration of resources, and to pool efforts of the Government of the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, in areas such as policy and planning support and CMIG in the capital platform, market resources, scientific and technological personnel and development advantage. Mutual equality, honesty, collaborative development, cooperation and win-win principles, will lead to mutual support, mutual trust and mutually beneficial strategic partnership.
