On 18 October2014, the 2014 Sino Energy Forum was held at the Beijing Marriott by Sina Finance and Mr. Wang Huaizhen, president of CMIG, delivered a speech.
This forum, with the theme of “road to the future energy—interconnection and revolution”, was opened by Mr. Zhu Xun, secretary-general of the eighth CPPCC committee. He is the former minister of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources and the Honorary Chairman of the China Mining Association. In addition, some distinguished guests, including Mr. Zhang Guobao, former National Energy Administrator, Jeremy Rifkin, a well-known American futurist, were invited to present.
In his speech, Mr. Li Huaizhen, pointed out that, as a professional investment company, CMIG has seen the potential and prospect of new energy and taken photovoltaic, as a breakthrough to develop in the new energy field, for that China’s new energy, especially in the photovoltaic, would step into a better stage. Currently, there are Four main challenges in the solar energy field: (1) the contradictions between scale and structure; (2) production and consumption; (3) government guidance; and (4) market domination. The government guidance should aim to lower the cost and promote technological innovation.
