President of CMIG, Li Huaizhen Shares CMIG Progress at CPPCC New Energy Symposium

On November 3, President of China Minsheng Investment Corp., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CMIG), Li Huaizhen was invited to a symposium, "Optimizing new energy arrangements and facilitating sound development of clean energy," held by the Economic Committee Office of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and CPPCC Press.  President Li delivered a speech on behalf of private new energy enterprises. Zhong Jipeng, Secretary of CMIG’s board of directors, and Han Qinghao, President of China Minsheng New Energy Investment Corp. Ltd (CMNE) accompanied President Li.

The symposium was hosted by Yue Fuhong, deputy director of the Economic Commission of CPPCC and former president of Liaoning Committee of the CPPCC. Vice-president of CPPCC, Wan Gang was present at the meeting and gave a commanding speech that was especially revered by all in attendance. Lian Weiliang, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, Li Yizhong, standing committee of CPPCC, deputy director of the Economic Committee and former director of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC, Liu Zhenya, standing committee of CPPCC and director of the board of State Grid Corporation of China, Lu Qizhou, standing committee of CPPCC and former general manager of State power Investment Corp., among others, also attended the symposium and gave speeches.

At the symposium, President Li Huaizhen detailed CMIG's progress in developing business in the field of new energy since its foundation more than a year ago. He shared that CMIG will prioritize its participation in the development of new energy through its industrial arrangements. “By taking advantage of its role as a platform for private capital operation, it will facilitate the profound integration of new energy and new finance,” said Li Huaizhen.

According to Li, while making large-scale investments, CMIG has formed a team specialized in new energy. He further noted that through in-depth cooperation with universities and other research institutions to make the operation of new energy projects professional. In the meantime, CMIG intends to take both social and economic benefits into consideration by its operations. CMIG for example has been making efforts in photovoltaic poverty relief project with its construction in the Comprehensive National Energy Demonstration Area in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. This project is an effort to facilitate the all-round development of local society and people's livelihood.

Li recognizes that relevant administrative authorities must strengthen the integrity of new energy-related policies and coordination among various regions. The adjustment of policies shall take into consideration the interests of the Central Government, local governments and enterprises while allowing for more resources to be allocated to regions and main market entities with better comprehensive benefits.

Administrative leaders and scholars from the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Energy Administration, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC, the Ministry of Finance of the PRC, the Ministry of Agriculture of the PRC and other ministries, committees and research institutions also attended the symposium.
