President Li Huaizhen Attends CPPCC Energy Internet Symposium

On October 18, President of China Minsheng Investment Group (CMIG) Li Huaizhen attended a symposium under the theme of “Building a Nation of Energy, Developing the Role of Energy & Internet in One Belt, One Road,” an event hosted by the Office of the Committee of Population, Resources and Environment of CPPCC and the CPPCC Magazine. President of CMIG New Energy Investment Co., Ltd Han Qinghao attended the conference and delivered a speech.

The meeting was presided over by member of the National Committee of CPPCC and former General Manager of China Power Investment Corporation Lu Qizhou. Vice Chairman of the National Committee of CPPCC Chen Yuan attended the meeting and delivered an important speech. Member of the National Committee of CPPCC, former Chairman of the State Grid, and President of Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization Liu Zhenya, member of the National Committee CPPCC and former Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration Shi Yubo, member of the National Committee of CPPCC and General Manager of CNNC New Energy Co., Ltd Qian Tianlin, scholars from the Chinese Academy of Sciences Lu Qiang and Zhou Xiaoxin, and Deputy Director of the Energy Saving & Science Equipment Department and the National Energy Administration Xiu Binglin also attended the meeting and delivered speeches. 

During the speeches, CMIG expounded on the meaning and development of Energy & Internet, analyzing the significance of Energy & Internet in the “One Belt, One Road” strategy. CMIG believes that Energy & Internet will bring important investment opportunities to Chinese enterprises. The Energy & Internet strategy is a key point of support for China to become an energy power. Vigorously developing Energy & Internet will help to significantly improve China’s soft strength. 

CMIG also introduced its current new energy investments, including the world’s largest single unit PV power station and the “Photovoltaic +” poverty alleviation model in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The latter is a key node in the “Land-based Silk Road.” The company also introduced its investment in the “Maritime Silk Road,” namely the region of Southeast Asia. Furthermore, CMIG also put forth suggestions on the future development of China’s Energy & Internet.
