CMIG Establishes ‘Empathy Formula’ Engineering Club

On the afternoon of February 7th, a Flag-giving Ceremony for CMIG’s ‘Empathy Formula’ Charity Campaign Engineering Club took place at the CMIG Headquarters in Shanghai. A total of 29 property companies and nearly 10,000 engineers from CMIG Futurelife will employ their skills to improve the life quality of community residents and needy rural residents.


This ceremony marks a new step for CMIG in responding to the call of the Central Government, supporting new rural construction and participating in rural revitalization. At the ceremony, the engineer representative received a flag symbolizing ‘mission and responsibility’ from CMIG President Huaizhen Li. CMIG Board Secretary Jipeng Zhong, CMIG Futurelife Chairman Hui Wang and other CMIG executives witnessed the historic moment.

 


These engineers will provide ‘repair services’ across the country during the Spring Festival holiday, solving the life problems of needy rural community residents.

As Jipeng Zhong said, “A great enterprise or cause often originates from a sincere idea, as well as the persistence in and practice of that idea. CMIG always believes that it should invest in fields that are beneficial to social progress. Only when the value created by an enterprise is needed and recognized by society can that enterprise achieve sustainability”, expressing his heartfelt thanks and paying his sincere respects to the CMIG Engineering Club which will support residents in communities and impoverished areas.

On November 30th, 2017, CMIG launched the ‘Empathy Formula’ charity campaign.

CMIG has cultivated five characteristic employee charity campaigns: ‘Running Club’, ‘Engineering Club’, ‘Lecturer Club’, ‘Community Elderly Care’ and ‘Sun Schoolbag’. Every CMIG employee will use his or her specialties and skills to help those in need, thereby further honoring CMIG's social commitments.

As Kevin E. Lee,CMIG executive vice-chairman, explained, the core of ‘Empathy Formula’ is to establish a charity mechanism that opens channels for CMIG’s employees to engage in charity, incubates creative charity projects initiated by the employees and stimulates their enthusiasm for repaying society. The campaign pays attention to elderly care, poverty mitigation and health, and is closely related to CMIG's industrial layout. With the business development of CMIG, this campaign will cover more fields and extend to the world.
