Executive Vice Chairman Kevin E. Lee awarded "Chinese green card"

On July 5th, the Award Ceremony of Permanent Resident ID Cards for Foreign Talents took place in Huangpu District. Kevin E. Lee, Executive Vice Chairman of China Minsheng Investment Group (CMIG) was awarded a permanent resident ID card for foreign talents, making him Huangpu's first foreign high-level talent to receive the card through Shanghai's new technology innovation policy.

According to a source from Huangpu, Lee has pushed forward a few of CMIG’s major international projects, led CMIG into national new energy base construction, and established the CMIG Global Advisory Council to pool wisdom for China's economic transformation.

The other three foreign talents receiving the "green card" that day were from GSK, Tanita and Chugai Pharma. The foreign talents from Dyson, Victoria's Secret, BCG and other companies received five-year visas.

At the award ceremony, Lee spoke on behalf of outstanding foreign talents. His speech was as follows:

It is a great honor to receive the "Chinese green card," or a certificate of permanent residence in China. I have always taken China as my second home, witnessed the dramatic changes of this great country, and experienced the greatest social progress and reform in human history. I was stunned and eager to integrate myself into this big family.
Today that dream comes true and China becomes my real home. It is a great honor and encouragement to foreigners in China like me.

If I have seen further, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants. Here, on behalf of foreigners in China, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the leaders of the Huangpu District People's Government, the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of Shanghai Public Security Bureau, and the Administrative Committee of Shanghai Zhangjiang High Tech Park.

It is on the shoulders of these giants that I have fulfilled my long-cherished wish. In the future, I will continue to devote all of myself to the development of Huangpu, Shanghai and China.
