Li Guangrong, Chairman of Tehua Investment Holding Co., Ltd.——GAC Provides Strong Guarantee for CMI's Development
Due to time constraint, I would like to mainly touch upon three points.
First, I am one of the 59 shareholders of CMIG. Today, I am a shareholder representative, director of CMIG, and also chairman of CMIG’s Advisory Committee. All of these positions are appointed by Chairman Dong. I would like to say thanks to Chairman Dong for his trust.Chairman Dong devises such a high quality and high grade Global Advisory Council, which will surely provide strong guarantee for CMIG's development. So I would like to, on behalf of the shareholders, express appreciation to all members coming from afar to Beijing, especially Mr. Orlins. I believe with the support of the Council, CMIG is bound to accomplish its mission, improve efficiency and enhance our friendship.
Second, Chinese companies now need to talk about“new normal status”. CMIG is the practitioner of China's“new normal status”and, I believe, it is also the contributor and winner. What is“new normal status”? I think "New" means new idea, new mission, new tool and new mode. CMIG has its lofty mission for the nation and the country. It has new tools and modes, including the Institute for Global Industry 4.5 founded at Tsinghua University several days ago. This is a new model and tool. "Normal" refers to the internal essence and objective development law of a thing. Status, I think, is a status and result, i.e., to explore into the internal essence and objective law of a thing through a new concept, tool and model so as to enable it to reach the best status and the best result that is the most beneficial for the development of the human society. I believe CMIG is the practitioner, contributor and winner of the “new normal status”.
Third, it relates to my study and research on finance. CMIG aims to become a company that takes financial holding as its strategic development goal, and its mission depends on the strategy for becoming a financial holding group. Prof. Li Daokui just mentioned what CMIG should do. There are modes for doing things like Soros, Li Ka-sing, especially Chairman Chearavanont. I believe the team led by Chairman Dong has its strong point in finance, and in the era of financial explosion in China, CMIG should not only COVER STORY be a participant, but also be a contributor and winner, a leader of China's “new normal status” and China's finance as it tries to make a difference in China's socio-economic development, contribute to and finally succeed in developing a real global financial center with its scale like London and Wall Street.
