Celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, the annual S1000 awards are among Singapore’s most prestigious and well-respected honors, largely because of the objective financial indicators (such as income, net profit, return on equity and overseas income) used to analyze companies’ operations.
The awards are judged by one of the world’s big four accounting firms, Ernst & Young, and five government units – the Singapore Business Federation, the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Singapore Standards, Productivity and Innovation Bureau, the Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, and the Singapore Infocomm Development Authority. The organizer of the S1000 awards, the DP Information Group, is Singapore's leading provider of corporate sector information and intelligence, and one of the world's largest credit counseling agencies.
